Why I'm still doing this.
People ask me why I didn't just retire after selling most of my practices. Why take on coaching and fractional leadership? Why keep working so hard?
The honest answer is that I love working. Building practices, figuring out what needs to change, and helping a business grow is what I've spent eighteen years learning to do. I have a skill set that can help other dentists, and I want to share it.
I built ten practices before having my twin boys and another six after they were born. I built my daily life intentionally, organizing my practices with the teams, systems, and leadership that allowed me to keep growing while being present for my kids.
Today, I work with dentists at very different stages. Some are struggling with profitability, their teams, or finding time for themselves and their families. Others own multiple practices and need a partner to think through growth strategy, develop their leadership team, improve performance across locations, and decide when and how to expand.
I know how much goes into building a practice and how personal it feels when things aren't working. I also understand the challenges that come with growth: more locations, more people, and more decisions that can't all depend on you.
I love helping owners work through those decisions. Whether we're turning around an underperforming practice or preparing a dental group for its next stage of growth, I get to share what eighteen years of ownership taught me and help someone else move forward.
Watching another owner build a stronger business and create more room for the life they want is work I still want to wake up and do.
